Our Story
My name is Grayson Gagnon
As a pre-med student at the University of San Diego, I have always been drawn to medicine not only for its science but also for its humanity. Through my studies and personal experiences, I have seen how medical hair loss affects patients undergoing treatment. Hair loss can take away more than appearance; it often impacts identity, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Together with my mom, we recognized both a need and an opportunity. Every day, gently worn hair extensions are discarded, while countless patients struggling with medical hair loss seek the comfort and confidence a wig can provide.
We founded Extensions of Love to bridge that gap. By collecting extensions from salons and partnering with fellow nonprofit wig designers, we transform what was once discarded into free wigs for those in need.
We want to give back by offering patients and families comfort, dignity, and love during their most vulnerable moments.

The Problem
Every year, thousands of bundles of real human hair extensions end up in landfills. These beautiful, high-quality materials could be given a second life, but instead, they’re wasted, all while many individuals facing medical hair loss struggle to access free wigs.
Our Solution
At Extensions of Love, we rescue gently worn hair extensions from salons. We collaborate with a nonprofit wig manufacturer (Children With Hair Loss) to provide them with hair extensions to transform them into free wigs for kids experiencing medical hair loss. By doing this, we reduce waste, promote sustainability, and restore confidence and dignity.
Our Process of Love
“Our Process of Love” begins by partnering with salons to collect gently used hair extensions, which are then shipped to our nonprofit wig manufacturer (Children With Hair Loss) to be transformed into wigs for those in need.
